V1 → V2.
SAME MISSION. BETTER MACHINE.
The patented Always Ready System™ (U.S. Pat. No. 12,702,229) didn't change what it does — secure gear, deploy fast. V2 changed how well it does it. Every plate, base, and fastener was re-engineered based on two years of real-world use. Here's exactly what's different, shown on the actual production CAD.
THE ACCESSORY BASE — SIDE BY SIDE
This one part is the heart of the upgrade. The V2 base indexes directly onto the rail. Drag to rotate — look at the underside.
THE PLATES — V1 vs V2
Pick your platform. Top-down views straight from the production CAD, at true scale, rail lengths marked on the rails.

WHAT CHANGED, AND WHY IT MATTERS
RAIL-INDEXED ANTI-ROTATION
The V2 accessory base seats directly into the rail profile instead of clamping onto a flat surface. Loaded gear physically cannot twist under braking, off-road vibration, or its own weight. It's also what makes wall mounting work properly — a V1 base relied on gravity being friendly; a V2 base doesn't care which way is up.
ONE TOOL. FEWER PARTS.
Every V2 attachment is countersunk — a single 5/32 Allen wrench installs plates and accessories, and it ships in the box. V1 used 10mm bolts with washers that stood proud of the rail surface, added parts to lose, and ate into usable rail space. V2 hardware sits flush; nothing protrudes, nothing snags.
MORE USABLE RAIL
Measured straight from the production CAD of the Cybertruck plate: the rear rail slot grew from 26.9″ to 30.7″, the center from 44.5″ to 50.2″, and the front from 32.5″ to 47.1″ — over+14 inches on the front rail alone. Combined with flush hardware, V2 carries more gear on the same footprint.
TIGHTER TOLERANCES
V2 plates are laser-cut, not plasma-cut. That single manufacturing change is where the tolerance jump comes from: cleaner edges, tighter repeatability, and every mating surface built to the revised spec. Parts made this year lock up exactly like parts made next year — which is also what makes theAlways Ready Compatible™ ecosystem possible. Engraving is sharper too, on the same powdercoat finish.
UNIVERSAL MODEL 3/Y FITMENT
The V1 Model 3/Y plate fits pre-refresh (non-Juniper) vehicles only. The V2 Universal plate fits the classic and the new Juniper-generation Model Y — one plate, every 3/Y, built to the V2 tolerance spec. It also adds two vertical accessory rails at the outboard ends — mounting real estate the V1 plate simply does not have.
WALL & SAFE MOUNTING, FOR REAL
Because V2 bases index into the rail, a wall-mounted track holds gear with the same authority as a frunk install. That's what unlocked the wall mount track line — same accessories, garage or safe wall, no compromise.
