WILL IT FIT?
Nobody publishes what actually fits inside a closed Cybertruck frunk — so we measured it. Every number below was taken on a 2024 production Cybertruck with the Always Ready System™ track installed, using a crush gauge under the fully latched hood. Heights are measured from the top surface of the track — the plane your gear actually sits on.
Keep the tallest point of your mounted item within 12.5″ of the track surface and it clears the closed hood at any position on the plate.
The hood domes upward over the middle of the rear (cabin-side) rail — up to 14.5–14.7″ of clearance. Taller optics ride there.
The center rail takes items up to 55.5″ long — full-length rifles included. The front rail takes ~48″; the rear (cabin-side) rail ~36″ (measured with the Hunter universal mount).

The outline below is the actual V2 base plate profile, straight from the production CAD file, at true scale (54.7″ × 13.5″). The hood underside is a shallow dome — highest over the middle of the rear rail, lowest along the front rail and at the outboard ends. Mirror positions (driver/passenger) were both measured; each value shown is the lower of the pair, so the map is valid on either side.

CHECK YOUR BUILD IN 3 STEPS
- Measure overall length. Muzzle to stock (or end to end of your gear), as configured for storage — folded, collapsed, whatever state it rides in.
- Measure the tallest point. Lay the item flat the way it mounts. Measure from the bottom of the surface that contacts the mount (for a firearm: the bottom of the receiver/rail that sits in the cradle) straight up to the highest point — optic turret, riser, whatever sticks up furthest. Then add ~1.5″ for the mount cradle standoff, or use your mount's listed cradle height if you know it.
- Compare. Total height under 12.5″ fits anywhere. Up to 13.0″ fits everywhere except the front rail. Up to 14.5″ fits centered on the rear rail. Length under 36″ rides any rail; under 48″ rides the front or center rail; up to 55.5″ rides the center rail.
